Netflix Language Change Settings: Watching a movie, documentary or other categories of programs on Netflix or any streaming service in a language you don’t understand is equivalent to not watching it at all, this is something everyone would agree to. Now imagine the program having a subtitle that is also not in the language you understand, it would be frustrating right? Netflix streaming service is available in several countries; hence they have provided several languages for audio and subtitle options, these include French, Deutsche, Italian, Portuguese, and several more from a list of 22 languages. First sign into your account on Netflix.com, navigate to your profile and click on it to display a menu, select “Manage Profiles” from the menu, click on the profile you want to edit, click on “Language” and select the language you want to change to. After selecting the language from the list, click on “Save”, and then click on “Done”. After this, your default language would be changed.

How To Change Your Subtitles

The language of your subtitle can easily be changed regardless of what you’re using to stream, including your Mobile phone, Tablet, Smart TV, even your Apple TV, it only depends on the availability of subtitle languages which varies for every program. If you’re wondering if Netflix streams movies and shows from a particular region, for example, Indian or Mexican movies, you can do a search by typing in Eg, “Indian Movies”, and movies and programs from that region would be displayed for you to choose from. If the program is not in a language you understand, you can turn on the subtitle for a language you understand (if it is available)

IF YOU’RE USING NETFLIX ON WEB – After selecting the program you want to stream, navigate to the bottom of the screen and click on the options tab, it is usually the fourth tab to the right beside folders. You can turn on the subtitle from the options if it was turned off previously. Then choose from the languages that are available for the program you’re streaming.

IF YOU’RE USING NETFLIX ON MOBILE – To change the subtitle of a program you’re watching on your mobile device, whether Android or Apple, tap on your screen while the program is steaming and tap on the audio options, turn on subtitle and choose the language you want the subtitle to play from the available languages.
IF YOU’RE USING YOUR SMART TV OR APPLE TV – While the program is steaming, swipe down and select the menu, go to languages and select the language you want the subtitle to play from the available languages.
